Come Brunch! Raises $9700 for For a Day!

On the first day of fall, For a Day supporters gathered in a Tribeca restaurant to dine, socialize, and generously donate to For a Day's national programs. As guests snacked on passed appetizers (Italian doughnuts and beef sliders), the silent auction and raffle opened for business.

Board members Sarah Abdel-Razek and Andrew McClintock shared why they chose For a Day and what they look forward to building with us. The buffet opened with chicken piccata, cacio e pepe eggs, and Caesar salad.

Guests were treated to a tasting of Riazul Tequila, a boutique tequila brand featuring their blanco, reposado, and anejo products. Guests learned of Riazul's history and unique approach to tequila. And dessert, tiramisu, was added to the buffet. With 65 attendees, we were at capacity in the venue space!

Founder Jenna Edwards then spoke on pediatric cancer statistics around diagnosis, treatment, and post-treatment life, giving context to the importance of For a Day's services. Guests were encouraged to generously participate in the auction and raffle, as well as purchasing items through For a Day’s Amazon List. Guests also received 75% off coupons to Udemy.com, an online platform for educational video courses.

We are so grateful to our sponsors and guests who collectively raised $9700. The atmosphere was upbeat, exciting, and genuine. To date, this has been our most successful event in NYC, both in attendance and monies raised!

a huge thank you to the board (Andrew & Sarah & jenna) for filling the venue with their friends and colleagues!
